Allen City Hall

More than 7,000 cubic feet, Allen City Hall features four feet in course height roughback panels along with 2x1 foot panels in West Texas Cream. The roughback on the rotunda is segmented and faceted with splayed joints to match the radius in order to achieve the round appearance. Unlike cut stone, roughback can not be machined into a true radius and therefore has to be segmented to maintain the roughback texture and color.

The water feature in the courtyard includes 50 tons of quarry block designed in a radial pattern and incorporates carved rivets in the stone along the interior allowing water to cascade through rivulets.
